At A&H International Cosmetics, we believe we play an important role in bringing beauty to everyone in the world. With our valued partners, we create inspirational and quality beauty products for consumers across the globe.

We are happy to share that we have been awarded a Silver Medal by EcoVadis confirming us as a strong contributor supporting a sustainability journey in the beauty industry.

A&H International Cosmetics is on a sustainability journey and has partnered with EcoVadis to establish reporting and annual sustainability targets so that our beauty industry clients can be part of our sustainability achievements now and in the future.  Actively demonstrating sustainable leadership is our responsibility to drive positive change and improvements to the social, economic, and environmental well-being of our business, our employees, our clients and our domestic and global community.

We would like to sincerely thank the industry leaders and our client partners that have fully shared and documented their sustainability strategy and targets. This leadership and sharing of their sustainability goals has provided a catalyst to change in the industry and a pathway to follow for corporations like ours  that look to continuously improve and be part of the industry’s sustainability journey.  Sustainability is a global initiative that A&H International Cosmetics is proud to be part of.

EcoVadis is the leading solution for monitoring sustainability in global supply chains. Companies are assessed on 4 themes: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, sustainable procurement.

Looking forward and striving for continuous improvement, we are reviewing our strengths and areas of improvement indicated in our recent EcoVadis report and aligning our sustainability path with the leaders and our partners  in the beauty  industry to ensure we can make a significant contribution.

Environment

The assessment chapter ‘environment’ focuses on themes such as energy consumption, water, pollution and waste. As strengths, EcoVadis highlighted the A&H International Cosmetics documented procedures and action in managing chemicals/materials, managing energy consumption, water pollution monitoring, measures to avoid dust and particles, reporting on hazardous and non-hazardous waste and environmental certifications including GMP, ISO22716, ISO1400

Labor and Human Rights

Labor and Human Rights focuses on topics from working conditions, employee health and safety to diversity and human rights.  EcoVadis highlighted our efforts in providing a high level of training for employees, a high percentage of women and minorities in executive positions and robust reporting on accident frequency and severity rates. As a next step, we will be providing more robust documentation and tracking on all training, career planning and health and safety procedures.

Ethics

The ethics evaluation treats the topics of corruption, anticompetitive practices and responsible information management, which mainly judges the policies that are in place.  With standard reporting on ethics issues in place and policies on corruption, we have the base reporting covered and are looking to expand the risk analysis and control procedures required to continuously improve in this area.

Sustainable Procurement

Sustainable procurement focuses on the evaluation of suppliers on their efforts in Corporate Social Responsibility and on purchasing policies covering environmental and social factors. Our EcoVadis report highlighted our advanced management system on sustainable procurement including reporting on the use of palm or palm-based products and sustainable replacement strategies. Integrating social and environmental clauses into all supplier contracts will be an important actionable next step.
